Good news for all Vijay Fans...!! Vijay's much expected flick 'Velayutham's audio launch on June. Music director Vijay Antony said that - "Velayutham audio will be launched in a month's time from now. Vijay fans can expect a greater hit than Vettaikkaran".
     There is a buzz that Vijay will sing a song in Velayutham. It is not confirmed. Vijay's last song was in 'Sachein' released in 2005 which was a huge hit - Vaadi Vaadi .

Naban Songs

Finally its out!! Here are the track list of Nanban as per the available updates. The audio release is expected to held in August and the movie will be a Diwali release. Everyone are eagerly waiting for Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s forthcoming venture Naban with Kollywood Mega director S. Shankar. Other casts of the movie include Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana , Sathyaraj etc.

As of now the album has 4 songs composed by Harris Jayaraj  and he is currently busy with rest of the compositions which are peppy and scintillating. Harris has retained the track All is well, which is taken from the Hindi version 3 Idiots. Undoubtedly this song is going to create ripples and will top the charts. Directed by Shankar the film is progressing on a brisk pace and at present the team is at Zurich, Switzerland.

Upcoming Movies of Ilayathalapathy in 2011

Director Mani Ratnam has now officially declared that his upcoming film “ Ponniyin Selvan “ has been shelved due to some reasons. The film was expected to release in a budget of 100 crores with a huge star cast including Vijay, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka etc. But the budget is said to be the reason behind the drop of the film (Mani Ratnam’s last release ‘Raavan’ was a big budget film , but it didn’t well at the box office. So the production houses are not intending to make a big budget movie with him ). However it was a chance for Ilayathalapathy to become the part of a great venture with the legend director Mani Ratnam. Let us hope that Vijay will join Mani Ratnam in the future.

         

               There are new buzz in the kollywood that Director Ameer is planning a movie with the Kollywood King Ilayathalapathy Vijay titled as ‘ Kannabiran ‘. The film is going to be a mass entertainer and the script is designed to suit Vijay’s mass image. Vijay is playing the role of a protagonist.  Ameer is famous for his mass films and he is a successful film maker in the Kollywood Film industry. His previous movies include Mounam Pesiyadhe  with Surya, Raam with Jeeva, Paruthiveeran with Karthi and Aadhi Bhagavan with Jayam Ravi (2011 release). Both Ameer and Vijay are said to be successful commercial entertainers. So we can expect a huge mass movie from them.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Ileana are in Netherlands to shoot a song in Amsterdam for Nanban. The romantic track has been composed by Harris Jayaraj and is going to be one of the highlights in the film. Its heard that a portion of the song will be shot in Switzerland too. Other cast of Nanban includes Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj etc. Nanban is the remake of the bollywood blockbuster ‘3 idiots’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani and the leading roles played by Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.

  

After Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ Vijay will play the leading role in the movie ‘Pagalavan’ directed by Seeman. Vijay’s role in the film will be a never seen before one and Seeman on his part has loaded the film with fiery dialogues that oozes fire. The mass hero image of Vijay is expected to rise several levels up after this film. There may be a delay for this film because the production house is still under consideration. Even though there is news that Kalaipuli Thanu will produce the film, it is not confirmed.

Vijay Met Jayalalitha

After the huge success in the Tamil Nadu elections the AIADMK Supremo Jayalalitha was congratulated by the King of Kollywood ilayathalapathy Vijay. It has been reported that Vijay was the first person to wish her all the best and congratulate on the awesome victory in the legislative elections.

                On the day of election results declaration the forthcoming movie of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, ‘Velayutham’ promos were shown on the official AIADMK channel, Jaya TV. It was to reach the movie to more people and avoid the problems that affected his last release ‘Kaavalan’. The promo was released at the apt time and it has been reported that the movie got more reach to the viewers and all are waiting eagerly for this mass entertainer.

                As the promo showcased ‘Velayutham’ is a massive entertainer from Jayam Raja which suits verymuch for Vijay’s mass image. Vijay’s introductory song in the movie – Vela Vela Velayutham.. was the background music in the promos and it is sure that the much spent introductory song  which includes hundreds of artists will be the mega hit of the year.

                Vijay with Hansika Motwani, Genelia D’souza and Saranya Mohan wiil give the viewers a visual treat. Santhanam will be in the highlighting role which will entertain all class of viewers as in the previous films of Jayam Raja.

Kaavalan Selected for International Film Fest

The recent release of Kollywood Superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay , Siddique directed “ Kaavalan” has been selected for the 14^th  Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China, which is one of the most prestigious film festivals in Asia. The film has been selected in the Panorama section by the  SIFF from nearly 2500 odd films from various countries in the world. 

         

   “ Kaavalan” was a turning point in Ilaya Thalapathi’s career in which his awesome performance has been talked about and the film itself was a huge hit over Tamil Nadu. Even though “Kaavalan” faced many problems before its release from the theatre owners it became the blockbuster of the year 2011.

           

     The movie was planned as a Diwali release , but due to many issues ( this is said to be because of Vijay’s political entry ) the release was postponed and after facing much difficulties Vijay had tried his best for the release of the movie and the film had hit the screens on Pongal day- Jan 15, 2011.

     The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), founded in 1993, is China’s only A-category international film festival accredited by the FIAPF (stands for International Federation of Film Producers Associations based in Paris). The movie will be competing with 200 other films from various languages for the prestigious Golden Goblet Best Film Award, which is instituted by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV and Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group.

           
     Barry Levinson and six other International judges will attend the Fest. The exact date of Screening “ Kaavalan” is not verified. 

     
     A happy news for Ilayathalapathy fans is that Vijay has been invited as a special guest for taking part in the Film Fest and the 14th SIFF will start on June 11.
