Velayudham
Vijay's 52nd film has been titled Velayudham.
The producer Aascar Ravichandran who makes only big budgeted films has decided to bring Vijay and director Jayam Raja together. Velayudham is expected to be a family entertainer and will be an original film from Jeyam Raja. Velayudham is expected to have two heroines and three girls were considered in the beginning; Genelia, Kajal Agarwal and Hansika Motwani. Hansika Motwani is chosen as the heroine. Her upcoming flicks are Dhanush's Maapillai, and Jayam Ravi’s Prabhu Deva directed Itch. Vijay and Hansika did photo shoot for Velayudham at a studio in Chennai. Devi Sri Prasad has been signed up to tune music for the film.
Jayam Raja's Moscowin Kaveri and Leelai are yet to be released even though they completed the shooting several months before.
The producer who formerly produced Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam and Surya starrer Vaaranam Aayiram is happy to have Vijay by his side. Vijay is currently busy with Siddique directed movie Kaavalkaran.
