Because of the continous failure of the recent movies by Vijay Tamil Nadu theatre owners association has decided to avoid exhibiting Vijay films.It is mainly beacuse of the recent failure of ' Sura ' which was guaranteed by the distributors. It will surely affect the release of Vijay's next film ' Kaavalan '.Kaavalan is the remake of Superhit malayalam movie ' Body Guard' directed by Siddique after his previous success ' Friends ' with Vijay. The theatre owners association said that they are exhibhiting Vijay movies only because of his Star value.They said that all 1475 movie theatres in Tamil Nadu will participate in this strike against Vijay .Theatre owners are asking for compensation for his previous failures.Other wise they will not exhibhit his upcoming Movies.
The distribution rights of Vijay's forthcoming film 'Kavalan' have been acquired by Cinema Paradise, a production house run by popular filmmaker Shakthi Chidambaram. The film will feature music composed by Vidyasagar. Kaavalan is an upcoming Tamil romance film written and directed by Siddique. Starring Vijay and Asin Thottumkal in lead roles, the film is the remake of the director's previous Malayalam film Bodyguard. The film began its principal shoot in April 2010. Previously titled as Kaavalkaaran and Kaaval Kaadhal, the film will feature music composed by Vidyasagar. Kaavalan's audio launch is scheduled to be held in Chennai on 8 December 2010.The film is expected to arrive in theaters on 24 December 2010.
The film is about a youngster Arjun (Vijay), who adores the most powerful people and wants to be their bodyguard. Somehow, he manages to become the trusted aide of a leading industrialist (Raj Kiran), his wife (Roja) and his college-going daughter Meera (Asin). The industrialist wants Arjun to accompany Meera to college. After a lot of hilarious moments, the film... ends with an unexpected twist.
