Vijay sheds his larger than life mass image and gets into the skin of his character Panchavan Parivendan & it works big time.
The supporting characters played by Sathyaraj, Sathyan, Srikanth and Jiiva have handled their scenes skilfully.

Padam first class. Its completely a different movie for vijay. All the supporting characters (jiiva, sathyaraj, srikanth, s.j.suryah, vasanth) did their part fantastically and made no mistake. Vijay in a different role makes to enjoy the movie. No punch dialogues, no fights, no revenge as previous vijay movies. Ileana did her part well but cant compare wit kareena because something was missing. Dialogues were very good. You might have thought that we didnt mention about sathyan, because he was outstanding in his role and performance. Anuya also did her job well. As Shankar mentioned. People who don't like Vijay will love after watching this movie. Sathyaraj was extraordinary in the role and well suit for the character. In many scenes Vijay made us shed tears from our eyes.
Shankar used everyone really well in the movie. All suits their character perfect.
